I want to put a Warmoth CBS Strat neck on my Telecaster. will the neck fit in the pocket?
Yes, but there will be gaps at the corners.
From the Warmoth site:
"The heel shape of Strat® necks is rounded at the end, Teles® are squared. Strat® necks will fit Tele® bodies but show a gap at the corners. Tele® necks may not intonate on a Strat® body without neck pocket modification."

http://www.dolphinstreet.com – I just replaced the stock 12″ radius neck with a 9.5″ radius MIM 60th Anniversary maple neck. I really like it. Here I use a 19 Sixty 3 clean boost on the clean sounds, and a Zonkin Yellow Screamer for the overdriven tones. Amp is a Reverend Hellhound.

A friend of mines liked this and wanted me to share it, although i felt the recorded audio quality from the iphone wasn’t a 100%, plenty of fuzzin’ someimes distorted, but the vid itself is clean and clear.
This footage is when i had the pleasure of meeting Sonny Boy Terry from Houston Texas, a really great guy and a fantastic musician. SIDE NOTE*- The neck on my guitar is actually a variax neck, just temporary until i had gotten my strat neck repaired, This neck doesn’t have the natural feel as the strat neck does, had to pluck to hard to try an get the result i wanted. Feel free to rate and comment, hope you enjoy it

neck from ebay could i just screw the new neck on or do i have to do something to it first before I do?
Hello! As long as you purchased a neck that was intended for either an American or Mexican Stratocaster, it should fit without issues. Before assembling, compare the neck width and height at the heel, where it will fit into the pocket. The width is really the key measurement, as it needs to not only fit tightly, but install square to the pickups and bridge. The height can vary slightly, and be compensated by bridge, saddle, and pickup height adjustments; it is also possible that the angle of the neck in relation to the top of the body may need addressing. This latter adjustment is necessary if the desired relationship of the strings to the frets cannot be remedied by raising or lowering the bridge or saddles, and requires strategically placing thin shims under the heel of the neck. Make sure the bolts securing the neck to the body are tight, and go through a full setup to include intonation, neck curvature, bridge orientation, and saddle height (see http://www.fender.com/support/stratocaster.php for details). Best regards, Dana

i have a highway one strat with two single coils in the neck and middle positions. the bridge has a humbucker and they’re all factory. i really wanna replace them all but its such a hard decision. i knew about the area 61s and the kinmans, but i went to a music shop in san antonio yesterday and they introduced me to Rio Grande and Lollar pickups. what you think?
I think your crazy bro, seriously. I have the same guitar you do and the pickups in it are great!!! Why would you want to modify them they’re hot!!! I think you need to do some serious homework man and test out a few guitars with different single coils. I’ve tried out several of them and they simply can’t relate to what alnico 3’s can produce. Maybe you should check out the Fender website and watch the video introducing the latest Highway 1 series before making that decision, then decide. The guitar has great features worth paying attention to. If your still hung up on changing the pickups, my only advice is try to go with the Fender samarium cobolt (SCN) series pickups which are noiseless and found on their U.S.A. deluxe series strats.
Also try Fender’s vintage noiseless or any custom shop alnico pickups they offer. They get pricey but they’re worth it.

I’m looking to buy a Fender strat, but not really sure which one. I really like the rosewood neck models, but I hate the bleached maple headstock look. I like the Stevie Ray model with the dark amber-ish color to it, and would like to emulate it without breakin the bank on that actual guitar.
Suggestions?
Hello, Josh! How about simply applying a tint to the standard Fender maple headstock face (see Vintage Amber color at http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Finishing_supplies/Colors,_tints,_and_stains/ColorTone_Aerosol_Guitar_Lacquers/ColorTone_Tinted_Aerosol_Guitar_Lacquer.html )? You could finish it off with a clear lacquer (see http://www.stewmac.com/shopby/product/3881 ), and the Fender decal would still show through the tint. Just a thought. Best regards, Dana

***Note: My digital camera is picking up high pitch background noise from something in my garage…Its not from the amp!!*** Super Clean BOGEN!!! The tube types it uses are as follows: 2-7868′S, 1-6C4/EC90, 1-12AX7/ECC83 & 1-6EU7. Auction does include Strong BOGEN Quality Tubes already. Check out the video clip demo of this amp with a guitar and the demo of a Harp/Harmonica as well… I even use this for my IPOD and this amp works great and it really sounds AMAZING and LOUD!
Check out the video clip, I try to play a tune for you but I am not the greatest guitarist but I attempt to demo for you anyways. PART 1 video clip; I have my strat switch in the 2nd ‘neck/mid’ position and in the PART 2 video clip; I have my strat sitch in the 5th ‘bridge’ position to demo the high notes and in the PART 3 video clip; I attempt to play a little Blues licks using a Harp/Harmonica made by Hohner Blues Harp in key of “D” . I try to play the two instruments to let you hear the Amazing different Vintage Pure Tube Warm to High Tones that this Amp produces in both electric guitar as well as a Harp/Harmonica to demo sounds for different styles of players music types. ENJOY!!!

i’ve been think about building my own guitar…was wondering if using this bridge with this neck would cause any required modifications… cheers tom.
no… its was going to be a hard tailed bridge… thinking now it will be fine… conformation would be cool tho….
the only problem i can think of is that the neck on a strat may be wider/thinner than that of a tele. if this is the case, then the separation of the string holes on the bridge may be wrong.
however, i do not think this will be the case, both instruments being manufactured by fender, and if there is a difference it will be miniscule.

hey guys, im wrokin ona project and this is te only neck i can find , but i dont know wether it will fit, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-style-replacement-strat-neck-maple-fingerboard_W0QQitemZ370109101461QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Guitar_Accessories?hash=item370109101461&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
copy paste that
will this fit on my red squier strat? it is in a import 1 with the big route underneath, but it is fender squier, will this fit?
Sorry let me rephrase that, the fretboard has to be maple
A Squire strat is a cheap version of the real strat. Your plan sounds good, but I’d check with Fender and Squire before buying it.
