emgs on a strat body guitar?
i have a slmamer by hamer which has a body of a strat and all it has is 3 coil pickups, and i was wondering could u put emgs on a guitar of that body?
Sure you can! You will probably have to modify the holes that they sit in. You might not want to do this yourself the first time, if you have a buddy that works on axes, see if he’ll let you watch while he does it. The good news (and I’m NOT trying to be rude here) is that the guitar isn’t worth that much, so if an error is made… meh… you haven’t lost money on an investment.
Lots of SMALLER guitar shops will let you watch them work too, so DON’T hit up guitar center or one of those other soul sucking places. Buy the pickups at a local shop and see if they will let you watch them put them in! It’ll ROCK!!!
